The latest regarding the website, data and thermal geophysics

The new website is live!

We've been working really hard for the last 12 months to bring HeatFlow.org up to scratch and we're finally ready to share what we've made with the world! At present, the database contains a large number of heat flow and thermal gradient estaimtes sourced from the databases of Francis Lucazeau and Derrick Hasterok. Temperature, thermal conductivity and heat generation data have so far been sourced from the Global Borehole Temperature Database, the Canadian Geothermal Data Compilation and the OzTemp database and we are always ready to add more.

Is the website perfect? No, but we are actively working to make it better every day. If something looks wrong, doesn't work as expected or you just have a suggestion on making the site better, feel free to send us an email! We're always looking for ways to improve! In the mean time, if you have spare data lying around that you'd like to contribute, feel free to try the new upload feature.
